Update returned missionary calling status

We have missionaries who have been home for several weeks or even months. They are still showing as active missionaries in the Member Calling reports or Callings by Organizations. How do we get that changed?

Those are callings entered in your ward's MLS. They can be corrected in MLS by the ward clerk.

The ward clerk came to me for help as the stake clerk. The option for changing the calling is greyed out for returned missionaries. He can add/change other callings, but for some reason he can't change these.

It's likely a custom calling. His is able to delete the entire position?
