Those reports are PDF documents created at headquarters so printing them will be different than printing reports generated by MLS

It sounds like the MLS print module is having problems with the printer's driver. Can you give us any more information about the printer, such as make and model? Some printers come with more than one print driver. Can you tell us which one was installed?

It's an HP laser jet 1200 - I didn't install the drivers, but I will find out from our tech specialist.

I'm the stake tech for this lovely fiasco :)

The printer had already been up and running by the time I got there. The High Council FM rep had brought it in, a clerk plugged it in and windows automatically installed drivers, all before I knew we even had a new machine.

As Josh stated, other programs print fine and no print dialog is given to select a printer from. I've never seen just one app not be able to print so am at a loss. I guess I can download drivers from the HP site and see if that helps. This looks to be a used printer, so it didn't come with a disc to install from.

Long story short, we are working to get the old printer back as we discovered it was indeed working. I did uninstall that printer already, so hopefully it will work when we get it back and not have the same issues.

HP LJ 1200 has been out of production for quite some time. The 1200's I have were made in 2002. It was replaced by the 1300, and the oldest one of those I have is 2003. So you're probably got a 10 year old printer there.

So, yeah, you probably do want your old printer back.

One thing you might try is to locate the print.properties file. It is located in the C:\ProgramData\LDS Church\MLS\data folder on Windows7. Save a copy of the file and then (with MLS not running) edit it to remove the line with the PrinterName= property. Then start up MLS. That might have the effect of letting you start over with your Windows default printer. You might even try deleting print.properties altogether (you'll have to enter the default paper size if you do this, but that's no big deal).
