Can I download MLS to my home computer to make it easier than going to the wardhouse? Anyone have a link?

Having MLS on a home computer is not authorized. Furthermore, you can't have active MLS data for one unit on more than one computer. This has been discussed many times on this forum. If your calling allows you access to all of the leadership tools at LDS.org then you can already do an awful lot of MLS stuff at home. But, no, that doesn't currently include home teaching, visiting teaching or finacial data.

Is the church considering a reconsideration to this policy? They REALLY should.

My understanding is that the church plans to add more MLS-type functions to the LDS.org site. People with leadership callings will have the ability to access these functions. But I wouldn't expect them to authoritze having the actual MLS software on private computers. Indeed, the latest version of MLS clearly was designed to make it difficult, if not impossible, to maintain MLS data from one unit on multiple computers.

With my lds account there was no problem downloading and installing MLS on my home PC. Luck for me that I found this Thread, before I used MLS at home. Quickly uninstalled it.
LDS.org is great, but the opion to send membership records an change callings is missing.

It is not against policy to install MLS on home PC, BUT you are not allowed to have any actual church data on it. For years there has been a way to install a set of test data for a fictitional ward and/or stake for testing and/or training purposes, but even though that data is still available, it is sorely outdated and is of little value anymore.
