Child of record over 9 year old baptism

#1

Post by cameronjhay »

We have had 2 baptisms recently where the person baptised is a child of record, but over the age of 8. I have tried to enter the ordinance into their file, however it says because they are over 9 years old it must be entered in as a convert baptism.

I have then entered it into MLS as a convert baptism, and it creates a new record. I thought I would be able to 'merge' the 2 records, but have been unable to do this. What am I doing wrong, and how can I get these entered in correctly?

Appreciate any help!
