creating multiple Deacon quorums in MLS?

Postby j0seartur0 » Thu Dec 20, 2012 9:50 am

In Handbook 2 Section 8.1.2 it says...
The bishop organizes the deacons into a quorum of up to 12 members, the teachers into a quorum of up to 24 members, and the priests into a quorum of up to 48 members (see D&C 107:85–87). If quorum membership increases beyond these numbers, the bishop may divide the quorum. Before doing so, he considers the eventual size of the quorum, available leadership, and the effect on quorum members.

If a unit passes the number of 12 members for deacons, there is no way in MLS (that I'm aware of) to create another list of Deacons under Aaron Priesthood sections. Asking for a similar feature like Primary section has multi-member lists for Valiants, CTR, etc to be available for Deacons.

Any help is appreciated to accomplish above task of creating multi-quoroms under Priesthoods in MLS.

Go to Organizations > Deacons. Note the button on the bottom of the screen labeled "Add Quorum". Click that button and you will now have a "Deacons 2" quorum (and the original "Deacons" quorum will now be called "Deacons 1"). Each quorum can have its own members and own presidency.

You'll want to go to the Members section of Deacons 2 and click the Add Members link. There you can check the boxes by those deacons that should be in the new quorum. When you click Save, the deacons you checked will be removed from Deacons 1 and added to Deacons 2.
