deceased child indicator

#1

Post by jeremygreer »

How do I find out if an individual is listed as deceased by the church?

A member in my ward has a deceased child. All the children are listed on his MLS/IOS, but there is no indicator as to whether the church has record of the child as deceased or still living.

The member can log into New Family Search (or Family Tree if they have access to it). The child's death date will be visible if it's been recorded.

You may want to call Local Unit Support to see if they have the child listed as deceased. I don't think there ever was an indicator on the IOS.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.
