I don't know what the term is for what I'm asking, but is there any place that maps out the default calling names and how to access each calling in MLS?

For instance:
Wolf Den Leader -> Primary
Building Cleaning Coordinator -> Other Organizations -> Other Callings

If you use the custom positions review tool you can create a listing of positions available in MLS and the organizations to which they belong. There must be at least one custom position for this to work. If your unit does not have a custom position you can create one temporarily while you use the custom positions review tool to show the list of positions. You must also have edit membership rights to use the custom positions review tool. Follow these steps to view the list of positions in MLS.
  1. Go to Organizations > Reports/Tools > Custom Positions Review. The positions listed are all the custom positions for your unit in MLS.
  2. If you wish, you can copy this list to your computer clipboard by pressing Ctrl+Shift+C. Then paste the data in a spread sheet or word processing document for processing. Follow the remaining steps for all the standard positions.
  3. Click "Find Nearest Match" for any of the custom positions listed.
  4. Click the "Show All" button in the "Standard Positions List (Nearest Match)" pop-up. The list of positions displayed are all the standard positions in MLS.
  5. Again, if you wish, you can copy this list to your computer clipboard by first clicking anywhere in the listing of positions and then press Ctrl+Shift+C.
I noticed in my test that the seven new organizations available in MLS 3.5 are not present in my unit MLS. For example the Mission Leader does not have an organization in the Standard Positions Review tool. This is probably because there still are some issues that have not been fixed. All the new organizations are listed in Organizations > Other Organizations in my unit MLS with these titles; ?o1280, ?o1296, ?o1297, ?o1298, ?o1300, ?o1309, ?o1310. If your unit MLS has the actual new organization titles listed, then the Standard Positions Review tool may have those listed instead of nothing.

This is an indication live data is installed on an unauthorized computer (See the policy letter Policies and Guidelines for Computers Used by Clerks for Church Record Keeping) or a replacement computer that has not synchronized with headquarters. This synchronization is accomplished following the first successful send/receive. There will be seven strangely named organizations in the "Other Organizations" grouping, all in the format ?oxxxx, because the computer has not synchronized with headquarters. Only one computer per organization is authorized to communicate/synchronize with headquarters. This is just one artifact for live data installed on a computer that has not synchronized with headquarters. The other artifact is the lock-out of the finance sections.

These seven strangely named organizations are the placeholders for Activities and Sports, Employment and Welfare, Facilities,
Family History, Music, Technology, and Ward Missionaries. These placeholder names will be updated to the correct names following a send/receive.

The solution is to do a send/receive if the installation of live data is on an authorized computer.

See item 11 under "The Stake Technology Specialist’s Responsibilities for Church Computers" section.
