Adding new MLS user with restricted abilities.

I am on the Ward emergency plan committee. The Ward clerk would like to let us edit the Ward and stake geo codes, update the talents fields, and possibly edit one or both user defined fields. To do this we would need only to see names, addresses, and then the associated fields. Can a new user be created that could be restricted to these areas and edits? If its in the user guide please tell me where to ask the clerk to look to find the steps.

Greetings Paul, and welcome to the forum.

The different levels of user rights for MLS are defined in the User Manual on pages 23-24 under "Adding Users", and also further explained in the appendix on pages A-2 & A-3 under "Security".

I think you'll find the user rights are pretty coarsely defined and don't allow for custom tailoring to meet specific needs, such as yours.
