Computer Administrative Rights
We have a Ward PC which has no current administrative rights (including Stake or Ward administrators). The previous Executive Secretary was released and prior to removing them from the calling no change was made to move administrative rights to another individual. We tried putting the previous ES back into the system to move administrative rights to the Ward Clerk but the computer would not except his password. Does anybody have any ideas to fix this problem? Thank you in advance...

Are you talking about MLS rights or Windows rights? I'm guessing MLS rights. In that case, I think you're going to have to call Local Unit Support. They have a back door for fixing that kind of stuff.

This scenario is another good reason for the stake to have an MLS administrator account on each ward's MLS system. Our stake has an out of unit administrator called "Stake Administrator" on each of the computers. We don't need it often, but it comes in handy when odd things occur such as what is described in this thread.

Thanks, this appears to be the only PC in the stake that didn't have a Stake Administrator rights as well...that's our problem.

Or it did and someone removed them.
