Removing 2nd EQ as callings

Postby elarroz » Tue Apr 24, 2012 10:55 pm

Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of a 2nd EQ? I can't see the 2nd EQ in MLS, but when I use LDS.org or LDS tools the old 2nd EQ still shows up. When I access the individual record of the old EQP in MLS it only shows his current calling (primary) and I don't see the old calling anywhere. I just want to ensure that those accessing information via electronic means have the correct/current information.

Any thoughts or assistance will be great!

Have you checked to see what is listed in CDOL? If the 2nd Elders Quorum is listed there then follow the procedures in Correcting duplicate or missing callings. This will bring the CDOL records into your MLS so you can delete them and then send the corrections back to CDOL.

Have you tried finding your answer on the LDS.org Help Center page or the LDSTech wiki?

You might try the procedure for Correcting duplicate or missing callings; there's some chance that this will cause the old callings for the 2nd EQ to reappear in MLS. But that's a bit of a long shot. If that doesn't work, your next best option is probably to use the Feedback link on CDOL to report the problem; that will go to someone who can clean up those obsolete callings. My guess is that the case of removing a quorum is rare enough that this scenario was not tested well.
