Nonmember spouses on RS & VT rolls

Starting with MLS 2.7.1 when a nonmember wife is added to a household from the member husband's record, she shows up on the Relief Society roll and "Needs Visiting Teacher" list. My Relief Society President is not happy about this because these nonmembers are now counted in her statistics.

Has anyone else experienced this or know of a way to get them off the RS roll and needs VT list? There is no way to change the organizations for a nonmember record. I do not want to delete the nonmember record because we want to let the Ward members know she is there. This does not happen with nonmember husbands. They are not added to the Priesthood rolls.

This problem does not seem to have been corrected in MLS 2.8.

The Clerk can go under her personal data and remove her from the class "Relief Society" and she will not show up on the Relief Society Reports.

This is only partially true. It is simple to remove someone from the Relief Society organization, and then she won't show up on the RS rolls. But this has no effect on her presence on Visiting Teaching reports. As near as I can tell, there is no way to remove her from those lists without removing her entirely from MLS. While we do want to watch over and care for nonmember spouses, it does seem a bit presumptuous for MLS to assume that a nonmember wife would be visit taught.
