Wards are in wrong Stake

Our Stake branched off from another one a couple years ago. An issue was just brought to my attention. All the wards in my Stake are showing up as if they are in the old Stake on church applications etc.. One example is when a ward pulls up ward conference sustaining document it shows the Stake President and High Council for the old Stake. Everything is correct on the Stake computer but it's wrong on all of the wards. Any suggestions?

Each ward's MLS has a setting in System Options for specifying the stake. My guess is that this still specifies the old stake. To check this, for each ward go into its MLS, have an MLS administrator login, and go to System Options > Unit. The top section is labeled "Unit Information", and there is an Edit link in the upper right corner that allows you to change the stake if it is incorrect.

What is listed in those units' MLS? Check the "Unit Information" in the System Options > Unit tab. The parent stake can be edited there. It may not have been changed when the stake split.

After you make sure you have followed the suggestion Alan and JD made, you will find that the ward will call up the old stake presidency on the List of Officers Sustained until it is changed. After it is changed, the new presidency should "stick" unless you are plagued with the bug discussed in this thread.

The high council is not a part of the ward list of officers sustained, so that should not be a problem.

Alright - I have verified that the wards are in the correct Stake. It appears we are experiencing the bug described by lajackson. Does anyone know if there has been a resolution to this? If I change the information in the Officers Sustained form and try to save it won't let me - it makes me save a new form which is then not updated automatically. Should I end this thread and continue it on the other thread since it appears to be the same issue?

Any follow-on posts related to this bug should be made in the referenced thread (List of Officers Sustained Autofill). No further action in this thread is required.https://tech.lds.org/forum/showthread.php?10331-List-of-Officers-Sustained-Autofill
