Notice on Temple Recommend numbers - Out of range with those assigned to Stake

We recently had our computer fail. It has been rebuilt, but I now have a notice come up when trying to activate recommends. Every recommend, once I scan for the recommend number, (from any of the 11 Wards in our Stake) say that "the recommend number is out of range of the numbers assigned to your Stake. I can understand this if one Ward has a new recommend book, that was not properly recorded/activated for its sequential numbers, before being sent to that Ward. Is there something I need to set up, that perhaps wasn't done by our Stake specialist, who installed the MLS software, but did not config. everything that needs to be done in order to function correctly? I've done searches through the forums, and also the wiki, for anyone else experiencing this issue, I haven't found anything yet.

I'd try a Unit data refresh. Failing that, I'd call Local Unit Support.

This error occurs when someone receives a recommend from a bishop in another stake and then has your stake activate it. So it is not because they have a new recommend book, but because it was issued from a recommend book registered to another stake. It would appear that somehow your stake MLS has lost all this information. I'm not sure how your rebuilt your system, but if restoring from a backup didn't work, your only other options are the ones RusellHltn mentioned.

As an aside, you will see no error when activating a recommend from a book not marked as received. However, despite being properly activated, the recommend will not be recognized at the temple until the ward does mark the book as received in MLS.
