Is there a way for a stake to "push" news items down to one or all wards (similar to calendar items)? Our stake has a weekly email bulletin that goes out to auxiliary heads and bishops as well as ward program people. This bulletin contains a section of select announcements that the stake wishes to share with all members and right now the individual ward program people are coping those items and republishing them in the printed handout each week. It would be nice if a stake administrator could enter that information into one or more news items then push them down to each wards website.

A Stake Web Site Administrator - by default - has access to the ward sites in the stake and can post news items. However, I would recommend that you simply Email the information in a pdf format to each ward web site administrator and allow them to post it. The ward web site is really the responsibility of the ward.

You could also post the newsletter on the stake web site and then do an Email Broadcast reminding the members that the stake newsletter has been posted.

So it sounds like a new usuable feature would be to have the ability to push news items down to wards in the same manner that calander items can be. This would eliminate the need to have each individual ward administrator retype the same information.
