LUWS Training Presentation

Postby opee » Sun Nov 01, 2009 5:08 pm

Does anyone have a presentation or tutorial that shows members who are new to LUWS (and possibly the Internet) how to use the system and navigate through it?

I had a request from a member of our Stake but did not find anything on the forum or even Google.

Once a member logs into their local unit web site (LUWS) then click on Help. You'll find a set of instructions that help a person to become familiar with the capabilities and how the site is used.

It wouldn't be hard to print those instructions and hand them out in hard copy format to the members of the ward.

I looked at the Help in LUWS, but it needs some "help". Very long and almost too detailed and "intimidating" for someone who is trying to learn from scratch. I was hoping that someone might have put a simple explanation together on PowerPoint or something that they could share...

It's a bit dated, but there is a pretty good introductory presentation in this post. Perhaps that would be a starting point for you. It would have to be updated to describe LDS Account.

If you do manage to update the presentation, it would be helpful to post a copy to the forum.

Thanks. If the member in my stake puts something together, I will be sure to share it here. If anyone else has something to share, please do.

Hi All

My Stake in Australia, has just recently embarked on the journey of setting up the Local Unit Website. I just wanted to say THANKS to all those people that have put up information on how their stake is using the websites, as this has been invaluable in starting to look at what processes and procedures we will use in our stake.

I had a chance this morning, as a member of the Stake High Council, to introduce the websites to all of the Bishoprics, Stake Presidency and High Council in our Stake PEC meeting. Using a number of the documents that many of you have put together, I was able to collate a number of them and use them in the training.

So once again

THANKS!!! :D

Adam
