how often is the membership list updated?

No, that's not how it works. The request for a record doesn't even specify the sex of the member, so MLS couldn't possibly know if the person requested is male or female and so couldn't put them on RS rolls, even if MLS did somehow provisionally add the person.

Records arrive so fast these days, it wouldn't be particularly helpful to have members in MLS with partial information that might put them in the wrong classes, quorums, organizations, etc. In a few hours the record will arrive anyway.

I'm not a clerk, but I've seen new names on the website before they were read over the pulpit before... if that helps.
