Unable to see tags by notebook in new Notes

I decided to try using the new Notes feature in my study this morning. I found a missing feature that's very important to me: I am no longer able to see tags by notebook. I used to be able to do this.

I submitted Feedback. I hope this gets added. I rarely used the old notebook feature because it had a lot of problems. I was hoping to use the new one.

I'm having similar trouble - but for me it all looks totally different than it did on Friday. The interface just looks so different and I'm missing a large majority of my notes, and all the unfiled ones are not to be found. If anyone has soon anything similar, it would be great to get some assurance that all those notes aren't just lost to the ages!
