Intermittent problems highlighting articles

Over the last few days, I've experienced intermittent problems saving article highlights (in particular, if I've applied a tag to a highlight). Sometimes it works great and other times it won't save. This is while I'm in the course of one study session.

I don't know the behind-the-scenes implementation, but it feels like it's calling a load-balanced web service and one of the web servers is having problems.

Has anyone else noticed problems over the last few days?
