Humanitarian Donations

I know we have the general Humanitarian Aid category that we can donate to but I believe that it is broken down even more specifically such as the donations for the "Syrian Refugees". I believe the Church was providing 35,000 diapers a day to the camps. I have not been able to find a breakdown for more specific donations for the online donation procedure. Does anyone have a path they can put me on to see how specific we can get or is the general "Humanitarian Aid" the only option? Thank you

Humanitarian Aid is the sole category. There are no sub categories.

If you want to give to specific causes, there are organizations that will let you do so. I know the difficulty is in figuring out which organizations are good and which aren't. There are some sites that review charities that will help give you more information (for example https://www.charityNavigator.org ... I'm not endorsing this particular site, but want you to know tools like this exist).

You can find out more about the LDS church charitable entities at the links below. I'm not sure why there are two. I always through they were one in the same. If you have a sizable donation, you could contact them to see if they're willing to allow directed giving (I had a deceased family member whose will directed a certain donation to the church, but the church felt the terms and conditions were too complicated to administer and declined it).
