Are there plans to permit Debit or Credit cards on the Donation page?

I do not have a bank account so am unable to take advantage of the new donation page on lds.org. Does anyone know if there are plans to eventually permit the use of debit or credit cards to make our donations?

Most credit/debit card companies charge a fee for each transaction that uses a card. At a restaurant or store, this is usually calculated into the cost of the product you're buying; however, it would create interesting dilemmas with calculating this fee into tithing or fast offerings. I think this is one reason why debit and credit cards aren't supported.

When will we be able to use our via card to make a donation? If not why not?

Not that anyone has told us.
It may have to do with the transaction charges.
