If the Cisco D9865 is set to send Mono out the HDMI connection, is Left and Right still separate at the RCA jacks?
We need English and Spanish kept separate to feed two different RF Modulators but want only English in the HDMI feed. Will the HDMI MONO setting allow this?

Just a WAG, but if the setting is only "Mono" - no. You'd somehow have to select "Mono - left channel" or something like that.
But I'm not sure why you'd want to use the audio via HDMI unless it's to maintain audio/video sync. (Delay both an equal amount.)

Re: Cisco D9865 (Mono - Stereo) HDMI
The receiver has settings to put the left, Right, or both channels into both L&R of the HDMI output. So the HDMI output can be Mono or stereo. I'm hoping that this setting does not tie the two RCA audio outputs together. I would think not. When there is a multi stake broadcast that is part local and part from church headquarters it is handy to have the satellite feed come into our video mixer. This eliminates people at the receiving sites from having to switch program sources except as a backup.

As long as the church system stays up. In the past, it was expected that each location would have a local program and then go direct for the broadcast part. Stakes that elected to webcast found the church system overloaded.roblad wrote:When there is a multi stake broadcast that is part local and part from church headquarters it is handy to have the satellite feed come into our video mixer. While the capability may have been expanded, if it didn't expand at the same rate as stakes deciding to webcast, it could crash again.
