Is anyone else seeing QPSK on satellite receiver?

A check of the satellite receiver today (prior to general conference) showed "QPSK" on the display, along with an increase (to 5.12Mb/s from ~4.8-4.9Mb/s). I don't believe the display had ever showed "QPSK", but I must confess I probably haven't looked at the display since last April. (According to search engine hits, QPSK is a modulation scheme, Quadature Phase Shift Keying.)

Is anything else known about this apparent change in the satellite signal? Is there anything operators need to watch out for?

I'm pretty sure it's always been QPSK. Looking at the produce brochure, the alternative is 8PSK. I'm sure I haven't seen that.

At least, that's one of something like 3 screens I see it cycle between.
