Chromecast DNS issue resolved?

#1

Post by aclawson »

In the latest LDSTech newsletter they extol the virtues of the Chromecast for streaming LDS content, but in the past it was discovered that the hard-coded DNS servers used in the meetinghouse rendered the Chromecast devices less than useful in the meetinghouses. Has that issue been resolved?

I believe it's still the case that attempting to cast an internet source will meet with failure in the meetinghouse, but you can still case from stored media on a local device. Attempting to stream from the Internet is a bad idea no matter what system you use.
