So I can see that someone has increased my reputation, but not who or why.

Is it possible to see who did this and why?

If not, I would propose this as a feature to this forum :)

It is definitely possible to view reputation changes:

http://tech.lds.org/forum/usercp.php

or Forum -> User Control Panel.

From there I can only see the thread name, date, and comment.

I can't see who raised my reputation, or their reason (I suppose they can't currently enter one).

I think the reputation system is designed to be anonymous. It gives a user the comfortability of speaking their mind (for good or bad) without exposing himself or herself.

What would you do with that knowledge anyhow? Just curiosity?

When I go to the User Control Panel, I see a "New Subscribed Threads" section and a Latest Reputation Received section. You may need to click on the hieroglphyic to the right of the points total to open that section. It won't show you who sent the reputation, but it should show the comment.

Curiosity, yes. But it would also be an interesting study (for my own sake that is) in human relations.

I only see the one icon, it just expands/hides the Thread title/date/comment, it doesn't seem to reveal the author though.

No matter.
