I completely 'get' that we don't want to typecast people into certain callings in the church. HOWEVER, it would be of GREAT help to be able to view previous callings in MLS under a persons profile. For example, we were in Bishopric last week, and we were trying to determine how long so and so had been in a presidency, well, MLS only shows when they were last sustained, so for those people that were sustained from a second counselor to a first counselor, it only shows that they have been in that presidency a shorter period of time. We have somebody that has been in a presidency for what we believe is 7 years, but we have no way of knowing, unless we go through all the manual/paper records for every week for those that have been set apart for the past X years.

Anybody else run into this issue?

Calling dates/history in MLS would be very helpful.

Yes, this was discussed recently in the thread Church Position(callings) histories.

I agree this would be a HUGE help.
