familysearch REST api

I think it would be really neat if new.fanilysearch.org had a REST api, so third-party developers could get at all the data that is available there. This could be used for cool visualization mashups, as well as other things.

Yes there is one and it's REST-like.

Check out devnet.familysearch.org

There is already a list of affiliates using the API to create applications from the newFamilySearch API. See Link:

FamilyInsight uses the FamilySearch API to sync both ways with new FamilySearch Data and PAF.
