Forum in other languages?

Postby marianomarini » Fri May 23, 2008 3:23 am

Usually all technicians know English but what about clerks and members involved into genealogical work?
It would be possible to start some Forum in their native languages?

It's interesting for Portuguese, too!

I think this is a good idea. I would contact tomw directly and see what his opinion is.

This is on our roadmap. I don't have a date yet but the first step is to ensure that we have moderators who can assist in the language forums. Anyone want to help out?

Here am I.
There's also a way to let members know about this opportunity via church media?

Language forums

Postby jeffclark1070-p40 » Fri Sep 26, 2008 6:12 am

I think the key is getting enough moderators to moderate the other language forums. If you don't I think that some people can get on the wrong track which could lead to other problems at the local level. Just reading some of these in English makes me want to tell some to read the manual provided by the church.

Another interesting idea is to invite to participate at the forum the ICS staff from international Church Areas, to help support and moderate international forum capabilities.
