LDS.org scriptures integrated with mobile OS Gospel Libraries

I've seen various websites that will have a link to YouTube or Google maps that when clicked on in a mobile browser gives you the option to open that app on your device. Are there any plans to add that sort of functionality to the Gospel Library? Another (probably related) idea, are there any plans to make the Gospel Library callable by other apps? For example, could I make a random scripture app that turns to a given book,chapter,and verse in the Library?
Sanity check as well, do these ideas sound plausible and worth while, or are they too much of an edge case to worry about?
