Cannot Launch Indexing Software On Mac OSX!

#1

Post by JT177 »

Hi guys!

I'm trying to launch the latest indexing program on Mac OSX Yosemite, it was installed on an admin account and launches correctly on that account, but when I try to launch it on a standard user account it opens up a window saying "Finding and downloading properties file" and never leaves this window, the software doesn't open, I don't know what to do, I have attempted changing file permissions etc to no avail, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you guys so much in advance for your help!

I see this is an old question, and so probably fixed, but for any future users your problem still might be your Java install. Try downloading from this download, logged in as the user that you want to run indexing from. For permission in the install you'll just most likely need to type the admin user name and password.
