The problem we're having on the development team is that no one can reproduce the issue to try to hunt it down for a fix. Have you tried reinstalling the app already?

Also, is your device completely up to date (running the Windows 10 Anniversary update)?

I had Gospel Library for windows installed on my Samsung 700T1C PC / Tablet. I then upgraded to the beta version. I used it regularly with no issues. However, within the last week to ten days I receive a error message: exception of type ‘system.exception’ was thrown. When I press the OK button it loads the software with no references. If I left click the settings I get this response: type constructor threw exception. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Gospel Library and Gospel Library Beta with the same results multiple times. I hate to ask this yet again, but I still have yet to have anyone answer it. Is your device completely up to date (running the Windows 10 Anniversary update)?

How can they tell? I think the roll out of that update might have been in stages. Just because the system says "no updates" doesn't mean it's running that version.

I happen to be sitting at a clerk computer right now. It's running Windows 10, "Version 1511", "OS Build 10586.679". From what I understand, the Anniversary update is 1607 or later. So, it's looking like clerk computer can't run LDS Tools. The same may be true of other devices that are managed by their work IT departments.

LDS Tools is a different application than Gospel Library and is no longer supported on Windows. One can check the version of Windows 10 they are running by opening the settings app, then clicking "System", then "About".

The current version is, as you said, version 1607. I am asking about the build version because I believe the issue may be isolated to a few specific builds of Windows 10.

I've been able to duplicate it - same device.

Note that the HP Stream 7 is a very underpowered device. I think I paid $90 two years ago. It did upgrade to Win10, but I think at first there may have been some compatibility issues. Perhaps the display (1280 x 800). Or the magnification that seems to be turned on (125%)

Well, I decided to start some basic troubleshooting. I rebooted, only to discover that Microsoft decided my computer should belong to my Microsoft account. (I'm really starting to hate MS). So I reverted it back to a local account.

After that, GL starts with no issues. I'm not sure if it's the reboot or switching back to the local account.

I have reinstalled and hard restarted my phone to factory settings and the problem persists. I have looked for an update, but my phone (Nokia Lumia 920) says that it is up to date. I'm not sure if my phone is capable of a Windows 10, or if it's even available. If you have suggestions, I'm open to them. (besides, "get a newer phone." :) )

I upgraded to Windows 10 edition 1607 only several days ago. And just since then my Gospel Library is not working any more and any attempt of reinstall throws error code 0x80070490.
When I try the Beta version, it ends up the same.

Windows version: 10 Home 1607 OS Build 14393.447

I hope this helps to get the app working again?
