Too many clicks to change highlighting

I love this app. The content and the way it is presented. What a wonderful tool! Thanks to all those whose efforts produced this.

When changing highlighting colors, the steps to pick another color need to be reduced IMO. It is inconvenient to switch from say, yellow to red, for example. Why must I click 'add highlight' to select another color that I want to use repeatedly?
