This is a great addition to my computer but every time there is an update, I need to redownload half of my items i.e. Book of Mormon, Institute manuals, different manuals. If you could fix it, that would be great.

The application removes damaged books as it starts up--before it did this, the app would fail to start if a book were damaged. The damage that is causing the removal of these books could be caused by any number of reasons, though app updates is highly unlikely. I'll pass your report onto the developers to see if there is anything we can do to make the damaged book recovery less of a hassle.
