Updates coming?

Will this app be updated with the latest General Conference and this year's Priesthood manual? The iPad version has them, but I'd like to be running this on my Surface 2 RT.

Both are already available, albeit with somewhat wonky formatting. Ensure that your Surface 2 has been updated to Windows RT 8.1 and that the app is running the most current version (1.14.2.232). The Windows 8 and Windows RT versions of the app are not being updated for technical reasons. 8.1 is a free upgrade, available through the Windows Store.

Will there be updates to the gospel library app for windows 8.1? Will it ever have the same functionality as the iOS and Android versions? It is pretty ok now I guess but the Come Follow Me portion that contains the lessons for each month does not work. Thanks for what you have done.

The best answer for your question is, "Yes, soon." As I understand it, unfortunately, the internal team which originally developed LDS Gospel Library for Windows 8 left their roles shortly after the app's original release. It took some time to get a new team together--this time a team of volunteers--and a the new team patched the most glaring issues the app had back in December.

After some changes in the way content is handled for LDS Gospel Library applications, Universal App Compatibility with the Windows Phone 8.1 version of the app, and the state of the original code, the new team decided it would be best to rewrite the app from scratch. They've been at it a while now, and it'd be nice if we got some sort of status update, but they really have their work cut out for them.

I use Come Follow Me all the time in the new app. It works GREAT! It even has embedded videos! I think you will be happy once it is out

The Come Follow Me lesson material is different in my Gospel Library compared to what is on LDS.org. I deleted and re-downloaded the YW Come Follow Me and the talks listed are still different. Help? I am in this app every day multiple times and am so very grateful for it- Thank-you~

This is not an element over which the Windows application team has control--but is under the control of the content team. The content team has been actively working toward supplying high-quality gospel library content for all the languages they can. While it is strange that this content is out of sync, we ultimately have to wait for the content team to do their thing.
