Accessibility Options Windows 8

#1

Post by RobRapp »

Does anyone know if there are plans to make the windows 8 gospel library application compatible with the high contrast themes in windows 8? Currently, if you change to a customized high contrast theme, a black background is provided in the windows 8 gospel library application irrespective of the background specified in the high contrast themes. This makes the text difficult and sometimes impossible to read.

Perhaps, this could be addressed more easily by allowing a user to specify any background color and text color.

RobbRapp,

We have high contrast compatibility on our list of things to do. We have made progress with high contrast mode in the recent past. Previously, users of high contrast mode were entirely unable to use the app as use of high contrast mode in Windows would prevent the app from starting. Accessibility as a whole is a highly important topic for the Windows team. Thus far, we've included a sepia theme for those with Irlen Syndrome and similar visual impairments and have a dyslexic-friendly font mode coming soon.

As we work on high contrast capabilities in the application, we may get back into contact with you through direct messaging here on the forums or through this forum thread.

Thank you for your feedback.
