Rights and Roles for Building Schedulars

Requirement: "You cannot assign someone outside your stake to be a building scheduler, even if the person meets in you stake's location."

Problem: I am assigned as the building scheduler for our ward. I use the existing classic calendar extensively. I am in the process of TRYING to set up our ward on the new Local Unit Calendar System. However, my ward meets and uses a building that is NOT within our stake. As I am not a member of the stake that the building is assigned to, I cannot be assigned as the building scheduler for my ward that belongs to another stake.
Under "Rights and Roles" for the new calendar system, the requirement (stated above) is entered, but NO OPTION IS GIVEN FOR THIS PROBLEM. I NEED HELP!

The new Calendar does already have a provision for this situation. In Manage Locations or Resources Shared By Two Stakes we read:
If the same location is shared by two stakes (an agent stake and a ward in an external stake), the agent stake manages the location and its resources. The external stake still has the ability to schedule the agent stake's location or resources, but they cannot see the schedules of any other location or resource in the stake. This integration only works as long as the external stake's meetinghouse is entered into the Facilities Management database.
So the steps you need to follow are:
  1. Make sure that the building is in the FM database (your stake's PFR can verify this with the FM group) and connected to your stake (even though the other stake is responsible for it).
  2. Make sure your stake has that location set up in the Calendar system as a location, and that the location is enabled for scheduling.
The text you quoted says that the other stake can't designate you as a building scheduler within their stake's calendar system, which I'm sure is indeed true. But that doesn't really matter. The real question is whether you can then be assigned as a building scheduler within your stake for that location. I would think that the answer is yes.
