What happens when a member dies?

So if we have recorded a death of a member on mls and the records of these two members have disappeared off our branch records but the church hq records are not up to date who do I contact?

When you say CHQ, where are you looking?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Check the Directory at LDS.org to see if the names have gone away.
If they have not, call the Global Service Center.
