Young Single Parent

I am a 25-year-old single mother. I've been attending a family ward, but am wondering if there is an appropriate and acceptable way to attend YSA type functions if my records are not in a YSA ward. Any ideas on where to find guidance on this matter?

Speak with your bishop and ask him to share with you the policy in Handbook 1, 9.1.6, the 3rd paragraph under Membership. Your bishop and the bishop of the YSA ward will help you learn of activities in the YSA ward that you are welcome to attend, even though your membership record will stay in your home ward so that your children will have the benefit of Primary and youth organizations, as appropriate.
