Trying to find a past bishop.

Postby Tiger2wild » Thu Oct 27, 2016 1:23 am

How would I go about finding out who was a bishop during a specific time period in the past of a specific ward?

CDOL has historical information back some number of years (I don't know how many) but that information is generally only available to leaders (bishopric, stake presidency, clerks and ex. secretaries) of that unit.

If you want information about your own unit and you aren't a leader, you could ask your clerk. If you want information about another unit then you'd have to contact the Global Service Center. But I expect they would not provide the information unless you had a valid ecclesiastical reason. Even then they might only provide it to a current leader.
