I just received the following email:
Subject :LDS Church Member Survey
Dear Brother Gentry:
Under the direction of the Brethren, the Research Information Division of the Correlation Department at Church headquarters conducts surveys of Church leaders and members several times a year. If you have questions about the legitimacy of this survey, please see Handbook 2 section 21.1.35.
Your name was selected at random to receive this invitation to participate in a series of approximately 5-8 Internet-based surveys over the course of the next 18 months. These surveys will address a variety of topics. The information gathered will assist those at Church headquarters in their work.
The answers you provide will be kept completely confidential, and will be combined with those of other respondents from throughout the United States. If you are willing to participate, we invite you respond to an initial survey, preferably within the next THREE DAYS after receiving this letter. If that is not possible, the survey will remain open until September 15, 2015.
