Baptism record

Postby TinMan » Tue Feb 18, 2014 6:10 pm

Is there any place i can find out who baptized me? When i look on my membership record there is a space for who performed it, but it is empty. The ordinations are all there, but not the baptism and confirmation. I checked several others and it appears to be the same.

That information used to be gathered, but I believe it was dropped during the "great simplification". Currently, I think it's only gathered because of the verbiage on the baptismal certificate.

If it's far enough back, it might be in the historical records. Perhaps a call to LUS can shed some light.
