How do I get to my ward's newsletter? Do I go to the ward directory first?

You mean to see it? You can go to lds.org and then in the up at the top where is says "Sign in/Tools" or "Diane2697/Tools", click on it, and from the drop-down select "Newsletter".

Or you can cheat and just go to https://www.lds.org/member-news
