Public Publishing vs Private Publishing

It would be super beneficial if the Newsletter allowed public publishing (visible to everyone) and private publishing (visible only to the author or a select group) so that one can "preview" their post without posting, deleting, re-posting, etc.
Especially since it seems the Newsletter features are really crippled and are seemingly riddled with server time-outs, errors, and the like. :/
Hopefully something like this is in the works or at least bringing the Newsletter up to par with other more robust editors. For example, the forum editor looks pretty decent.
