The new interface for assigning photos has no way for me to just delete an uploaded photo.

In the old directory, I had a red X I could click on to just delete an uploaded photo. Now the only way I can figure to do this is to assign the uploaded photo to some random person and then go to Manage Photos and delete it.

I had the same experience and the unassigned found there came as a surprise to me... I uploaded a photo and assigned it. Then I cropped the photo. The new cropped version shows up in manage photos, and now the original shows up in assign photos.

We are looking to try to fix this for you. I agree that its annoying when you have something you cant delete so you have to assign a photo you don't want to someone before you can delete it. It would work kind of like manage photos currently with just X in the corner.
