Can't set photo to my own family via upload

This one's pretty strange.
I'm an assistant ward clerk so I can upload and approve photos.
If I upload photos and assign them to my family, they will show up under Manage Photos as the appropriate family member. However, if I look at My Household or look at my family under Households, I do not see any pictures.
I can go back to Manage photos and see that the photos are properly assigned to my family members...but going back to the ward directory, they don't show.
If I upload my own family's pictures via My Household, they show up properly.
I can upload and assign and manage photos to other families in the ward just fine, just not my own family.
