You should have an option for selecting "Other" under Manual and Lesson Material. My ward has a Family History Indexing class, as well as the occasional Personal Finance or Relationships classes. None of these are under the available options - you should make an "Other" category so that I can create a class with custom material.

My thinking is that putting the Indexing class in the Family History optional course area would do good, just do it in between runs of the course manual given. That class is not rigid, in fact they've posted more advanced lessons on the Church website (not FamilySearch).

For the finances/relationships one, that can go under 'Marriage and Family Relations'. I think there is a lesson on finances in that. Relationships are handled in other lessons. Those although I think I understand you are talking in more detail about either one.

In the recent update we did, we added the ability to leave the lesson manual blank. This should be available now in the beta.
