Hey there, I'm Matt, Emily's assistant. We are working to improve and enhance our e-books, and we need your help. We are looking for thoughts and ideas on how we can make e-books study alongside print version. Please post your ideas here. Thanks! We look forward to your comments and suggestions.

Are you looking for help with a specific church or family project?

We are looking for suggestions on our eBooks and how we can improve them to make studying alongside their print versions easier. Any ideas you might have would be great. Thanks! :)

OK. I'm confused with what you mean by "studying alongside their print versions" – usually I think of e-books as replacements to the print version rather than something to be studied together with a print version; is that what you mean?

We have found that there are many who still use the physical manuals rather than the digital versions. We are looking for any ideas that can help us improve the digital versions so they can better work with those still using the print versions. For example, in Sunday School, if the teacher is using the print version of a manual, how can we improve the digital version of that same manual to make your study and experience better. Does that make sense?

Are you talking about individuals who use a print version instead of electronic, or making sure a class with mixed print and electronic users are able to function together?

If the latter, a issue that frequently comes up is when the teacher says "read from the second paragraph on page 23" and the electronic has no page numbers.

Making sure a class with mixed print and electronic users are able to function together. You got it. We will look at adding page numbers to the text. Thank you for your input.

If the e-book is the scriptures it will be useful search for chapter instead of word.
Example: 3 Ne 1:3. So you have change to go directly there!

why would chapter be a search? that's a browse function.

search for word would be fine if it were still based on a concordance...

When I use LDSLibrary and the teacher says: "Lets read 1 Nefi ... and then D&C 26 ....", I have to go back from 1 Nefi to Book of Mormon, then back to Scriptures, then select D&C and finally section 26.
