Just wondering about LDS tools

Hey Letters, can you give us any information about LDS tools? I know you are all about WinGL but it would be great to see development and parity on LDS tools too compared to iOS and Android. I have already looked at the LDS tools forum (https://tech.lds.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=121&t=19439#) but there seems little to no activity there.
My son who serves as executive secretary to our ward bishopric (but going on his mission in April) asked me why other people who have iPhones and Android phones have so much more and better features in their LDS tools and I said that it is because there is so many more of those other phones around. He said that he wanted Temple recommend information so that he can keep on top of managing that on the fly. Then he asked if that fair not to have all the same features on all devices? I said well the Church need to put its resources where the most devices are but we are all hopeful that this will change as Windows devices gain more traction in the market and by the time he returns home maybe it will be better. Your thoughts?
