iPhone text message fail

I am having a problem of sending a text message from my iPhone and iPad to my FHE group in my ward. They are 21 people in my group. If I send a text through LDSTools I get Delivery Fail in messages.

Are you able to send it outside of LDS Tools?

I believe the problem has to do with carrier limits on the number of recipients for a single message. It varies from carrier to carrier.
It may be able to get around it using the built-in Apple Messages app by sending iMessages instead of SMS texts to some of the recipients who have iPhones.

It worked when I turned off the SMS option in iMessage.
