I noticed that ward clerks can now upload individual as well as family pictures to the LDS.org directory. I also know that I can take pictures with my iPhone and store them locally in LDS Tools. It appears that the images don't sync across my devices though, so I would either need to set it up on my iPhone and then set it up on my iPad, or...what I think is a better idea...though the flash issue on the lds.org end might cause issues.

What about allowing pictures taken by a clerk (or anyone else with leadership access) to sync with the lds.org photo database. So that if I take a picture of an individual or a family I would get a prompt as to whether I wanted it synced to lds.org as that member/families profile picture. In other words, open the app, select a member, take a photo, get the prompt to sync it with the lds.org directory database and it is now available to the entire ward / stake.

Is this even possible?

This is working now (anyone can upload, uploaded photos have to be approved).

Although I'm currently trying to work through a cropping issue.
