Forgot email address, and can't log in

I have a member who forgot his email address, and he can't log in. This thread seemed closest to my problem. I am the branch clerk. How can he reset his account and start over? When he enters his membership number, it tells him it's already been set up, and he can't remember his old email address.

Under "forgot my username" you can choose the membership record number recovery option, to recover the account that's attached to his membership record number.
